| Description: | The project began in 2001 when brothers Lodovico and Piero Antinori, together with their nephew Niccolo' Marzichi Lenz. Tenuta di Biserno is located in the commune of Bibbona in the Alta Maremma, bordering the historic village of Bolgheri to the north. The exceptional terroir, the unique Bolgheri Conglomerate soil, the natural conditions, the wind exposure, and the microclimate combine to allow vines of exceptional quality to grow, which in turn give us wines which are unique, authentic and distinctive. The Tenuta di Biserno estate extends to over 40 hectares and is situated at 90 metres above sea level. The soils are very stoney, they are principally alluvial, with some calcareous clay, rich in calcium carbonate.The combination of the maritime influence of the nearby Mediterranean, and the distinct aspects of different vineyards, results in the two distinct production styles of Biserno |
