Cheval Blanc (750ML)

From Saint-Emilion

Vintage: 1945
Description: 96 Vm / 18 Jr. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins.easily the best I have encountered, offering fine-grained tannins and a judicious adornment of brown spices and ferrous notes toward the poised finish. It ends on a high note, showing better on the palate than the nose. Tasted at Koala's 1945 dinner. -- Neal Martin, Vinous Media. The 1945 is outstanding. It has a remarkably deep, ominous hue.there are some intriguing notes of black fruit, aniseed and tobacco. It is a "stolid" Cheval Blanc. Tasted February 2014 - Robert Parker (no score given)
