La Cartuja is a unique wine produced in the Priorat region, one of the most prestigious appellations in Spain. Priorat is special due to the unmistakable mineral identity that the volcanic Slate imparts in its wines. La Catuja is a distinctly Priorat wine with Mediterranean flair but stands out among its peers for its approachable character, moderate alcohol and soft tannins that allow for drinking much younger than is common for Priorat. Made with estate-owned fruit which has been organically farmed since 2000, it is a boldly structured wine providing flavors of blackberries, cherries, red berries, licorice, cinnamon, floral notes and oak and earth overtones.
