Description: | Cask Strength Distilled 1991, Bottled in 2021 It'd be hard to keep your poker face on if this turned up in your hand. Cambus 1991 The National Choice Queen Of Diamonds is part of a set of whiskies, each named after a card in the highest ranked hand of poker, the royal flush. It is a collaboration between The National Choice and Tiger's Finest Selection in Taiwan. Back in the 19th century Cambus was a big name in grain whisky. For decades it was run as a family business but it was eventually acquired by Diageo. They decided in 1993 to shut down the distillery and use the site for cask filling, warehousing and a new cooperage. Distilled in 1991 and then aged for 20 years in sherry octaves, this single cask release is bottled at cask strength. Only 75 bottles were produced, since the Cambus distillery has stopped producing. |
