| Description: | Clment is an AOC, Rhum Agricole which can only be distilled from select, fresh sugar cane juice that has been naturally fermented before being expertly distilled and matured; the masterfully blended Cuvee Homere is named to honor Homere Clement, the man commonly understood to be the creator of what is called, Rhum Agricole. It is currently crafted from an assemblage of the 1991,1996,1999 Vintages of Rhum Clement. The aromas imply sugar cane, oily nuts, dried fruit (raisin, banana, plum, pineapple, quince), creamy butter and clean spice. The flavors are intricately elegant building on the oily/fruity aromas with supple herbs and spices (fennel, tarragon, nutmeg, flowers,) all suspended in a perceived sweetness. The finish is dry, long and lissome, beautifully displaying the many aromas and flavors over and over. Try this neat with time to enjoy it. This also comes in a handsome decanter to add to the 'presentation' value. |
