| Description: | Aged in 550L casks for an average of ten years in the historic town of Vila Nova de Gaia, where ports have traditionally been matured. 10-year-old tawnies are where tawnies begin to get interesting, developing pronounced oxidative aromas and fading in color. Niepoort make a great example: aromas of dried apricots, prunes and raisins, lemon and tangerine peel, nuts, toffee, and caramel, with a long, fiery finish. |
