The chateau is owned by Castel, the largest drinks producer in France. Drink this attractive wine from 2018. (Apr 2017). James Suckling 89 points - Fresh herb and currant character on the nose. Medium body and firm tannins. Juicy. Drink in 2020. (Feb 2017) A deep, rich colour, almost black but not quite. The bouquet is supremely inviting, while on the palate this Haut Medoc Cru Bourgeois is both supple and weighty. Ripe fruits and delicate gooseberries gradually develop earthy notes, followed by spices and vanilla. Good fullness, and long on the finish. |
