| Description: | This is more aromatically reserved than its two 2010 stable mates with a somber nose of ripe plum and various dark berry fruit scents that exude the same spicy character. There is good volume to the silky-textured flavors thanks to the notably fine-grained supporting tannins on the firm, dusty and mouth coating finish that delivers fine length. This will also need to add a bit of depth but I like the balance and my score offers the benefit of the doubt that more complexity will emerge with time. |
