With the help of Shozoku Higas reputation and connections, the distillery was awarded the license to make the traditional Okinawan spirit awamori and has since established itself as one of the oldest and largest distilleries in Okinawa. Masahiro Pure Malt Whisky blends Pure Malt which are aged in Old Sherry butt and Bourbon casks for more than three years and then aged in Jack Daniels first fill Bourbon barrel for at least half a year.
