| Description: | The small winery of Monchiero in Castiglione Falletto was established in the 13th century and purchased by the Monchiero family in 1982. Arneis has traditionally been a difficult grape to grow and work with due to its oxidative tendencies. This leads to a beautiful layer of almond with white flowers, pears, green apples, chalky/sandy minerality and long finish that has some bitterness to pair with the terrific acidity. Textbook example of this native Piedmont grape. |
