Matias Riccitelli has set his mark early, pushing the boundaries for Argentine winemaking from the inception (2009) and gaining heaps of recognition, including winemaker of the year in Decanter Magazine only a few vintages ago. His winery is perched atop Las Compuertas, at around 3600 feet in elevation and the highest point of Lujan de Cuyo in Mendoza. He has received numerous accolades for winemaking and his Blanco de la Casa white blend epitomizes his forward-thinking style. a blend of old-vine Sauvignon Blanc (40%), Semillon (40%), and the balance in Chardonnay, that has been cofermented in concrete eggs for eight months with native yeasts.
