| Description: | Abacus is ZD's ultimate Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a solera style multiple vintage blend of every Zd Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon ever produced. The term solera describes the fact that only a small portion of the wine is bottled each year. The remainder is returned to barrel to await a new infusion of youth with the next vintage. This means each bottling will grow by one vintage. The 24th bottling includes 30 vintages of Zd Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (1992-2021). Each bottling is desgnated by its sequence, with the first and last vintage depicted using the abacus on the attached medallion. |
