Case Price = $139.99 per bottle (add 12+ quantity to your basket). Notes from the Winemaker:. Full red color. Nose of crushed coriander, pungent turmeric, plum, toffee and dried cranberry. Palate intially shows dusty earth, with sweet brandied fruit supported by brightness and moderate tannins. A peppery, ginger note plays off a fresh crème brulee character. Will open up with further time in bottle and cellar beautifully for 10 to 15 years. Vineyards: Klipsun Vineyard. Grapes: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Syrah. Vintage Season: Moderately warm, dry through late September, yields much lower than average. Harvest Method: Hand-picked. Barrels: 100% French, 40% New. Time in Cellar: 23 months, bottled July 2008. Aroma: Red fruits, pungent spices, toffee. Taste: Bright balanced fruit, moderate tannins, pepper. Alcohol: 13.5%. Lot Size: 350 cases. |
