Arboleda Chardonnay

Still wine

Description: Robert Mondavi, the legendary California vintner and Eduardo Chadwick, the charismatic force behind Vina Errazuriz first collaborated on a joint project Vina Sena back in 1995. Chadwick searched alongside Mondavi for four long years before finding the ideal terroir in Chile's Valle de Aconcagua, and in 1999, founded ViƱa Arboleda to realize the potential of the Casablanca Valley. The cold coastal winds that blow in from the Pacific Ocean toward the Andes Mountains pair up with a Mediterranean climate to allow the grapes to ripen slowly, which intensifies both elegance and freshness in their white wines. Wine maker notes. Arboleda wines were born in 1999 as part of the shared dream that inspired Robert Mondavi and Eduardo Chadwick to realize the potential of Chile as a world class producer of fine wines. The name "Arboleda" in Spanish means "grove of trees" and is a tribute to the native Chilean trees that have been preserved within the vineyards. The source of the wines comes from two self contained estates within the valley. A stunning vineyard planted in 2005 only 14 kms from the Pacific Ocean, the property is called "Chilhue," the place of sea gulls in the native Mapuche Indian language. Technical notes. Alcohol: 13.0%.
