| Description: | Muscadet remains one of our favorite, under-appreciated and under-valued, wine regions in large part due to selections like Domaine Claude Branger. Claude and his son, Sébastien, may keep a relatively low profile but their wine speaks for itself. Les Gras Moutons is from a celebrated single-vineyard of the same name with 18 acres of high and gently-sloping ground in the Sèvre-et-Maine appellation. Literally translated, Gras Moutons means Fat Sheep, but more properly the name refers to a high physical point in the area. |
