Description: | Domaine Magellan, Rosé "Le Fruit Defendu", Languedoc, France, 2013 {sustainable} 100% Cinsault Rich Cherry & Mildly Spicy Currant. Crisp Minerality Cinsault is technically not allowed at this percentage in the Languedoc, hence this wine's name: "Le Fruits Defendu" (The Forbidden Fruit). Winegrower Bruno Lafon, a transplant himself originally from Comte de Lafon in Meursault, has brought his Burgundian expertise to bear in the deep south, and the result is a surprising and delicious value. Bursting with fruit and buoyed by complex minerals and a hint of spice, this rosé is a lovely addition to our garden. A Wine Authorities exclusive! Serving Suggestion: Cold soba with snap peas, silken tofu, and ponzu. Creamy goat cheeses with fresh bread. Great by itself too. |
