The 2015 Moulin Saint-Georges is blended of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 85% new. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it reveals a gorgeous plum preserves, licorice and blackberry pie-laced nose with touches of cedar chest, cigar box, black olives and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and very firmly textured with grainy tannins, it has a lively backbone supporting the generous black fruit, finishing with lingering savory notes. Give it a good 5 years or more in bottle and drink it over the next 20+ years. - Lpb We 93 Wine Enthusiast, April 2018 Black fruits and rich tannins give this wine concentration. It relies on juicy black-currant fruits as well as attractive acidity, but with the background of a structure that promises a wine ready to drink in a few years. Roger Voss JS 93 jamessuckling.com, February 2018 Very ripe and round textured with lots of fruit such as plums and cherries. Full body and round and soft tannins. Fresh and clean. Lovely wine. Hard not to drink now. Will age beautifully as well. Drink in 2020. A blend 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc that was brought up in 85% New French oak, it's medium to full-bodied, ripe, yet elegant, finesses driven beauty that has fine, fine tannin and a terrific finish. It's a beautiful wine that will only get better with short-term cellaring and keep for 15-20 years. Dc 92 Decanter, Ripe and generous but not overblown. Cherry and damson notes with a creamy edge. Palate is opulent and round but with a fresh, minerally sensation behind. Plenty of reserve. Chalky note on the finish. Jl 92 TheWineCellarInsider.com, September 2018 Medium bodied, finesse-styled wine with a focus on the leafy, wet earth, plum, espresso and cherry tones.
