| Description: | Jean Phillips, a former real estate agent, bought the 57 acre Oakville vineyard in 1986 which was planted with mix of varieties except for the 80 vines of Cabernet Sauvignon. Jean hired Richard Peterson as a consultant and later hired his daughter, Heidi Peterson Barrett as the first winemaker. The entire vineyard was replanted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The 1992 vintage received a 99 point score from Robert Parker becoming one of the most celebrated and expensive wines in Napa Valley. |
