Winemaker Notes -Lava Cap is regarded as one of the premier Zinfandel producers in California. Our Zinfandel grapes are grown at some of the highest elevations permitted for the grape. The warm days and cool night at our elevation allow for a long growing season, coaxing out exceptional depth and character. Our Zinfandel is noted for its bright and juicy blue and black berry, and rich, full bodied tannins. Aged 20 months in Burgundian French oak barrels.\r\nAbout Lava Cap \r\nLava Cap is a family-owned winery in Placerville, California.
