| Description: | Here's a rare breed: Picpoul from Rutherford. Picpoul comes from southern France, and is known for its "lip-stinging" acidity even in a warm climate, so there's perhaps no surprise that even in the heart of Napa Valley the acidity is so crisp and refreshing. There's also a creamy richness to give the wine some weight as well as aromas of green apples and peaches, all rounded off by a zippy spiciness. Great summer or food wine. |
