| Description: | In the lushly green and mountainous appellation of Valtellina, Nebbiolo goes by a different name of Chiavennasca and the wine almost assumes an altered ego with the alias. Remove the high acid, iron fisted Nebbiolo of Barolo and replace it with a softer, more open and approachable style. Sourced from 400 meters, the thinner skins impart strawberry, rhubarb, watermelon and roses. A delicate perfume matches the Marsannay-like color and a creamy texture on the palate is bolstered by a subtle roasted meat quality. |
