| Description: | 91-93 Fs / 90-92 We / 90 Ws / 16.5 Jr. Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate edge lightening, ripe black cherry fruit, tobacco nuances, delicate touch of precious wood and nougat. Powerful, juicy, elegant texture, present tannins, freshly structured, spicy aftertaste, salty-mineral aftertaste.-Falstaff. 90–92. Barrel Sample. This wine is spicy, packed with tannins that are well integrated with the black fruits. It is rich, it is round and it will develop quickly.-Wine Enthusiast. Black cherry and cassis flavors are fresh and pure, with gentle vanilla, licorice and singed alder notes filling in through the finish. Shows a flicker of savory on the bright finish. A very pure, charming Pauillac.- James Molesworth, Wine Spectator. Bright crimson. Mineral start and quite a bit of sweetness. Racy and lively. A little sour on the end. Pretty drying tannins.
