| Description: | Chateau Gloria is one-of-a-kind, created by Henri Martin who purchased plots piece-by-piece, but exclusively from crus classified in 1855. The 50 hectare vineyard spans three areas: the middle of Beychevelle, the west of Saint-Julien and, on the north, on the border of Pauillac. The vines include 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot on Gunzian gravel soil over a layer of clay and sand. Average vine age is 40 years. Chateau Gloria also has a second wine, Chateau Peymartin, produced using the estate's youngest vines. |
