Rather than championing iconic Donegal, this release seeks to elevate the Silkie flavour profile through the use of casks used in the masterful creation of legendary Pomerol wines from Bordeaux. The Red Silkie Pomerol is the first expression in an exploration of how the taste & character develops when Silkie comes together with other great drinks categories with the sum being greater than their parts. Best savoured neat or gently chilled with an ice cube. The full flavour profile will reveal itself with the addition of a tiny drop of water. Tasting Notes Colour Rose-gold to Amber with a hint of glister. Nose Intense, layered, tarte tartin, candied peel, a hint of liquorice, and a floral violet note. Taste Unctuous, rich and smooth - raspberry coulis, desicated oranges, baked apples, pipe tobacco, raisins in butter and muscovado.
