| Description: | Natural Wine. Frug is a Skin Contact, Orange wine, light-hearted and dry. A fresh blend of 70% Gruner Veltliner and 30% Roter Traminer. Spontaneous fermentation is done in stainless steel, 70% destemmed and 30% whole cluster, for 8 days without crushing. The free-run juice goes through malolactic fermentation and rests for 4 months on its lees in stainless steel tanks. Bottled without filtration or fining. The wine has a light floral and herbal nose with flavors apple, passionfruit and fresh peach and lime. It also comes in a 1Liter bottle, making it, "frugal" and 12% Abv. Vineyard: blend of several vineyards in Tadten, mainly gravel, minerally and chalky, some with sandy clay and gravel. All certified organic. From Jenny & Francois Selections (who, since 2000 was one of the very first importers focused solely on "Natural Wines") comes Frug, (pronounced "froog") named after dance popular back in the 1960's.
