Description: | Domaine Borgeot is situated in the Cte de Beaune village of Rmigny. Created in 1903, it is run by brothers, Laurent and Pascal Borgeot, who are the fourth generation of their family to manage this domaine. The estate comprises 23 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards in Bouzeron, Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet. Located close to Meursault, the Puligny-Montrachet Les Grands Champs is aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, of which 25% is new oak, creating rich intensity on the palate. The Puligny-Montrachet Les Meix lies 25 metres from the Grand Crus and has a more precise mineral tension. The fruit for the Chassagne-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes comes from vines aged 60 years old on average, giving beautifully concentrated and well-defined flavours to the final wine. The Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos St. Jean comes from the domaines prime vineyard site and is aged for 11 months in 100% new French oak. All the wines are perfectly balanced with consistently well-integrated oak. |
