Heavily influenced by the San Pablo Bay to its south, this area is an excellent place to grow grapes that favor a cool climate and one that really comes alive when growing temperatures are lower is Chardonnay. The single-vineyard, organically grown Porter & Plot Chardonnay is bright and lively and is a completely different style than the oak-heavy Chards that hail from further north. Notes of yellow and stone fruit abound, with a light floral element complimented by fresh minerality. |
