| Description: | History,. A true gem amongst rum collectors, this is a rare and very limited release presented in a wooden case with numbered bottles. Distilled in 1952 and aged in barrels for thirty-nine years and finally bottled in 1991. The Mahogany Estate was born in 1700 and grows to 160 hectares of sugar cane. In 1883, Crdit Foncier Colonial seized the property and put it on sale, Homre Clment then bought and Rhum Clment was born. He built the distillery in 1917 in order to meet an important demand because of the war then in progress. The business will remain in the hands of the Clment 3 generations family before being sold to the brothers Yves and Bernard Hayot in 1986. Following this, the distillation activity will be transferred to the Simon house in 1988 but all other activities of productions are maintained at the mahogany dwelling. This Rum Clment 1952 vintage was distilled in 1952 before being refined in barrels for more than 30 years, a last rest of ten years was finally applied to this rum full of history before it It was bottled at home in 1991.
