The 2022 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Brûlées wafts from the glass with aromas of smoky plums, exotic spices, orange zest, petals, gunpowder smoke and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, layered and vibrant, it's seamless and penetrating, with an intense core of fruit framed by refined tannins, concluding with a mouthwatering finish.-William Kelley, The Wine Advocate. The 2022 Vosne-Romanée Aux Brûlées 1er Cru has the most tertiary bouquet amongst Pascale Mugneret's 2022s, quite reticent at first, unfolding slowly in the glass, offering darker fruit than the Les Suchots - introspective. The medium-bodied palate has sappy red berry fruit, elegant and harmonious with a caressing, unimposing finish. It's understated and a little austere, but again, I feel the second winter in barrel will add more flesh.-Neal Martin, Vinous Media. A clear-cut precise purple with quite a closed nose.
