Planted to 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc and owned by the firm of Jean-Pierre Moueix since 1953, the Trotanoy estate is situated on soil of clay and gravel, with old vines averaging 40 years. The wines are vinified and handled in exactly the same way as Petrus, except only 40% new oak barrels are used each year. |
