Description: | Description: This was the property of the Dukes of Burgundy from the 11th to 13th Century, then the property became a Marquisate for Denis Brulard, the first President of the parliament of Burgundy in Dijon. His son transformed the buildings into a magnificent Château, completed in 1678, with a vineyard surrounding the Estate. Nicknamed- âThe Versailles of Burgundy', the Château was even envied by King Louis Xiv himself. In 1998 it was purchased by HervĂŠ Kerlann, "a wine trotter" from Brittany and his wife Mandy fell in love with the history of the chateau. The wine displays ruby color with a nose of red hibiscus flowers and earthy roots. The palate reveals very soft tannins and balanced alcohol/ acidity. Light-bodied with red cherry, rose petal, and a touch of ripe strawberry. Food pairings: Tomato-based seafood/pasta, roasted fish, chicken, turkey, salmon, swordfish, cherries, brie, camembert (mild cheeses), veal, vegetable dishes, etc. |
