| Description: | 94-96 Wa / 93 Ws / 18 Jr. Black magic! I don't think any fountain pen ink could be darker than the 1994 Clinet. A legend in the making, the 1994 Clinet may rival the virtually perfect 1989. Along with the 1994 L'Angelus and 1994 Troplong-Mondot, it is one of the three most concentrated wines of the vintage, with layer upon layer of extraordinarily pure, amazingly rich, astonishingly extracted black fruits. This full-bodied, explosive, blockbuster 1994 should drink well by the end of the century, and last for at least 30 years. It is superior to the 1990 and 1988 Clinet - no small accomplishment. Very fleshy yet not too sweet. Impressive mature nose. Very slightly tiring but extremely classical and noble. Finishes dry but is not drying. With food this could be very rewarding.
