Espolon Blanco
Description: | It's the cooking of the agave that sets Espolon apart from other blanco tequilas. The agave is cooked anywhere from 18 to 20 hours. This longer distillation gives the Espolon Blanco its clear color with a hint of platinum on its edge, and if it burns agave that long, you shouldn't be surprised by the delicate and sweet agave found on the nose or the bright agave flavor. Floral, tropical fruit, and lemon zest aromas with a hintof pepper round out the rest of the nose, while the body is soft, light to medium. The palate has notes of pepper, vanilla bean, grilled pineapple, and spice. An elegant, clean finish, again with hints of spice make this a tequila that should not be underestimated. |
