David Arthur Elevation 1147 Napa Cabernet 2015 Rated 97JS
Description: | James Suckling Review. Rated 97. This is very focused and condensed with characters of blackberroes, forest floor, mushrooms and chocolate. Full-bodied, dense and chewy with very polished tannins, which give this wine exceptional form and tension. Bright fruit and impressive intensity. Needs four to five years to soften. Try in 2022. VinoUS Media Review. Rated 94. The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Elevation 1147 has the darker, more spiced profile found in the Three Acre with the lift and freshness of the Old Vine. All the elements come together nicely in this super-expressive Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2015 is wonderfully dense and lush, and yet retains quite a bit of freshness. (Antonio Galloni). Wine Tasting Notes. An intensely deep, ruby red color offers complex aromas of earthy sagebrush with garrigue-like floral notes to dark cocoa nibs and baked cassis-cherry compote. There are subtle notes of black tea, roasted pecans and brown Muscovado sugar. The palate is broad and expansive with chewy mineral-like tannins lingering on the finish. There are flavors of baked dark cherry, cassis and blackberry as well as chocolate toffee and black tea bergamot notes on the finish. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Elevation Block clone 8.
