| Description: | This is a special bottle of aged Riesling made by Alfred and Rolf Merkelbach. We recently tasted this at our last German tasting in October this year and it captured the attention of all who tasted it. Subtle notes of baked apple, peach, a hint of marmalade, garden herbs, baking spice, and matured honey, are present in this complex, aged wine. One veteran Wine Staffer (Josh) called out a tasting note of Tzatziki-because of its yogurt and dill notes. Agreed! This is both a playful and serious wine for enjoying now. |
