| Description: | The 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet is excellent, unwinding in the glass with a complex bouquet that mingles citrus oil and crushed chalk with notes of oyster shell, paraffin wax and light reduction. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny but incisive, with excellent concentration, racy acids and all the tension and cut that Chablis purists are seeking. This should age well and comes warmly recommended. The remarkable stony and sunny soil is captured in this powerful and complex wine. It flourishes with age and expresses mineral aromas reminiscent of gunflint. |
