Vintage: 2013
Description: Domaine Allimant-Laugner Cremant d'Alsace Brut Rose M.v. - $21. 100% Pinot Noir. Juice left on the skins for just half a day to give its rosy hue. Just delicious! Taste lots of wild cherries, raspberries and strawberries. It's perfectly tangy with nice sweet sensations on the finish. Tiny bubbles, mouth-watering acidity and a smooth, dry, silky finish. This is almost Too easy to drink. Keush Sparkling Wine M.v. - $21. 60% Khatun Kharji, 40% Voskehat. Super fun blend of indigenous Armenian grapes from the country that claims the longest winemaking history. (At least 2800 years!) Methode traditionelle. 100+ year old ungrafted vines, volcanic soils, 3500 ft elevation. Taste citrus, poached pear and apple, creamy texture, yeasty (aged 18 months on the lees). Fresh, crisp and delightful!. Bele Casel Prosecco Asolo Prosecco Superiore Extra Brut M.v. - $16. Prosecco: the sparkling wine of the Veneto. Asolo DOCG is right next to the better-known Valdobbiadene. Bele Casel is a small, "artisan" producer making delicious, crisp, fruity, great-value Prosecco. Grape is Glera (formerly called Prosecco). Smell and taste white peach, Golden Delicious apples, raspberry, pink grapefruit. It's very dry. Hattingley Valley Sparkling Wine Classic Reserve M.v. - $45. 48% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Noir, 17% Pinot Meunier & 2% Pinot Gris. From vineyards on predominantly chalky soils across the south of England. Aged 8 months in partial (25%) neutral oak, then 21 months in the bottle before disgorgement. Get ripe apples and spring flowers, with toasty brioche and distinct minerality. Oak ageing adds texture and rounds out the wine. A fine alternative to Champagne.
