The finish is nicely polished and the toast well-integrated. The fruit sails through. Debut vintage for this bottling. Drink now through 2022. 4 ½ Stars 2017 Platter's South African Wine Guide Sleek, supple & structured 14, also with a dash of cab franc, all Helderberg fruit. Elegant, with cocoa-tinged blue & black fruit. Lighter, leaner, less muscular & dense than Franschhoek version. Oak (60% new), a spicy, nutty presence. Great persistence. |
