Description: | 97 points James Suckling This best-of-vintage, cross-regional blend has aromas of dried meadow flowers with some waxy notes and plenty of ripe citrus fruit, flint and spice. The elegant palate holds peach, pear and lemon flavor and delivers impressive drive and richness through the finish. Complex. Drink or hold. Screw cap. 95 points Wine Advocate 93 points James Halliday A multiregional blend (55/45% Eden Valley/Clare Valley), conceived originally as a wedding wine for John and Belinda in 2017. Thankfully we are all now able to enjoy it, made in minute quantities in the best vintages. Rich and textural, with a taut line of acid that courses through the very heart of it. This is voluminous and generous, with garden-picked citrus and briny acidity. Perhaps it needs to open up, or flower, as it feels quite closed right now. The length tells us what we need to know about quality however – it goes and goes and goes |
