| Description: | Manufacturer's Notes: This Madeira wine has been crafted from the volcanic, sub-tropical Portuguese island of Madeira, located some 400 miles off the Northwest African coast. The Blandy's are unique in being the only family of all the original founders of the Madeira wine trade to still own and manage their wine company, maintaining a tradition that goes back to 1811. The rich-styled Malmsey is the most famous of the Madeira varietals, located mostly today in the region of Sao Jorge on the North of the island. Matured at the Blandy's Wine Lodges in the centre of Funchal, this wine has a unique and complex bouquet of toffee, honey, wood, and dried fruit. It is best savoured after a meal on its own, or with dessert to appreciate its mellowed robust character to the full. Produzido a partir de uma das castas tipicas de ilha da Madeira, localizada a cerca de 400 milhas ao largo da coasta africana, ed solos vulcanicos e clima sub-tropical, este vinho e o resultado da pericia e saber acumulados ao longo de dois seculos pela familia Blandy que, desde 1811, se dedica a producao e preservacao das tradicoes deste vinho generoso. A doce malvasia e mais afamada das castas de vinho de Madeira, localizada maioritariamente na regiao de Sao Jorge, a a norte de ilha. Envelhecido nos nossas amazens dos Blandy's Wine Lodges, no centro do Funchal, onde adquiriu um bouquet unico complexo e caracteristico em que se destacam as notas de caramelo, mel, madeira e frutos secos. Deve ser bebido fresco, apos a refeicao, ou na companhia de uma sombremesa, para melhor apreciar o seu caracter amadurecido e robusto. |
