| Description: | Launched as a further development to Woodford Reserve's signature bourbon, the Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is made from the same mash bill consisting of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley which is then fermented via the sour mash method and then distilled before being aged for several years in new, charred American oak barrels. After this initial beauty rest, the resulting bourbon is then transferred to more heavily charred new American oak barrels where it undergoes further polishing for at least 9 months giving it more depth and a heavy oaken character which they tame with pure water prior to bottling. |
