Château de Laubade Blanche d'Armagnac
Folle Blanche
Winery: | Château de Laubade |
---|---|
Description: | Also born in the heart of the Armagnac region, the Blanche is a clear eau-de-vie made from the distillation of white wine. The Blanche of Château de Laubade comes exclusively from the Folle Blanche grape variety, probably the best one to elaborate such a delicate and aromatic eau-de-vie, with a long and soft finish. The Blanche of Château de Laubade is not aged in oak barrels contrarily to the other Armagnacs. In this sense, the acquired wines are distilled as early as possible, at the beginning of November, right after the malolactic fermentation which will enable the preservation of fruity and floral aromas. The Blanche of Château de Laubade is a very aromatic, well-balanced, supple eau-de-vie with a soft finish. The final blending is decided by a tasting panel just before bottling. The Blanche can be enjoyed as an aperitif, or during a meal to accompany smoked fish and caviar. The main way for it to be consumed remains the cocktail. |
