| Description: | ~ Beer Advocate Hazy gold with a huge white head that holds fairly well. Good Belgian-lace throughout the goblet. The nose is quite complex: earthy with some hops, fruity with a tartness and distinct notes of apricot, spicy with gentle clove and a hint of lemon. The high carbonation just keeps wafting the aromas upward! Obviously, there's some mouthfeel from the zesty bubbles, but coupled with a medium/light body it appears fuller. The flavor starts with hops (huh?), softening into a solid malt across the middle of the tongue, and finishing with a spicy, peppery, and earthy/mineral-like dryness. Very unique in it's hop presence, and quite crisp. Really quite unique amongst French farmhouse ales. Food pairing Our RedVolution pairs well with a variety of dishes including grilled lamb, wild mushroom pizza, and penne pasta with fresh tomato sauce. |
