| Description: | 95% Mencia, with 5% other local red and white varieties. ADeep ruby color. Rich fragrant aromas of blackberry and blueberry followed by black cherry, black plum, earth, with light notes of warm toast. On the palate, flavors continue with violets, dried herb, black pepper, mineral, wet tobacco, graphite, and rose petal. Mid-palate expresses cream, vanilla, and lighter red fruit notes of pomegranate and sour cherry. This is a dry wine with medium-plus acid, medium chalky tannins, medium body and medium flavor intensity. Berries swirling around and the mouth coating drives the balance and complexity leading to a medium-plus finish. |
