Coeur de Terre Pinot Noir
Description: | Beautifully capturing the 2010 vintage, this wine is bound to become a classic expression of Oregon Pinot Noir. It first impresses with an intensely deep hue that is brilliant, but nearly opaque to the intensity of color. The nose is greeted with Pacific Nw forest floor aromas, spices and the scent of a cedar cigar box along dark cherry, coffee, and toasty notes. On the palate, the wine is deeply textured and presents itself with velvety fruit reminiscent of dark pie cherries with spice and the estates signature minerality and earth. The finish is extremely long with hints of toffee, coffee and more spice. Drinking very well now. It will age well over the next 7+ years. Region Description. Stretches from Portland in the north to Eugene in the south. A majority of the Willamette Valley vineyards lie on the foothills of the Coast Range that forms the western edge of the valley. |
