Albarino

Vintage: 2017
Description: Burgáns, a winery at the top of Mount Burgáns in Salnés Valley, has developed a worldwide appreciation for the delicious Albariño variety, a grape that was relatively unknown outside of the Rías Baixas prior to 1980. This wine is produced at the famed Bodegas Martín Códax. Luciano Amoedo, the winemaker, is credited as being the founder of Rías Baixas. This delicious wine is fresh and aromatic with vibrant acidity. Notes of ripe apples and peaches are complemented by a crystalline minerality. Food pairing Gastronomy: Seafood, shellfish, poultry, rice, mild cheese Serve At: 10º-12ºC. Producer Bodegas Martin Codax was founded in 1986 and was named after the most known Galician troubadour whose medieval poems, the oldest of Galician-Portuguese language, are preserved. In the poems, the troubadour sings to love and to the sea of our coastline. Since it's founding, Bodegas Martin Codax has grown and developed; always supporting its people, its land and its culture. The culture is promoted in more than 40 countries over the world. A project that started with the dream and efforts of a group of winegrowers is now a reality and it is this reality which has let Bodegas Martin Codax become a symbol of Galician wines inside or outside of our borders/country.
