Carletto Ricco Bianco

Pinot Gris,Sauvignon Blanc

Vintage: 2013
Description: Wine maker notes Ricco Bianco refers to a delicate blend of white grapes where each variety shows structure, aroma, and depth of flavor with a long creamy finish. The grapes are harvested in some of Veneto's finest viticultural areas, each picked for their ability to engender these grapes with distinct characteristics. Each varietal is fermented separately and then blended together. Food pairing The perfect pairing for sushi, shellfish, chicken, veal, and creamy sauces. Producer Armando De Zan, owner of Candoni Wines and other prestigious brands, has created the Carletto label to honor his beloved uncle and role model, Carletto, who was awarded the esteemed title of Cavaliere del Lavoro - Order of Merit for Labor - for his outstanding contributions to viticulture. This national order of chivalry was established in 1923 by Italy's King Vittorio Emanuele III. Carletto was a well-known agronomist with a passion for uncovering the most authentic indigenous Italian varietals, such as the preeminent Prosecco of Treviso, Pinot Grigio from Veneto, and others hailing from the region. Carletto Wines are Italian classics, and the creation of this label is our way of sharing these great traditions with our American friends. The name "Ricco" (Rich) refers to our rich blend of Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Ricco showcases the best quality of each variety: the bright, flowery fragrance from the Pinot Grigio and the delicate herbal and mineral notes with a touch of lime from the Sauvignon Blanc.
