Muga Prado Enea, Gran Reserva

Muga Prado Enea, Gran Reserva

Tempranillo Graciano Grenache

Vintage: 2014
Winery: Muga
Description: Epic and traditional, Muga's Prado Enea meets all expectations for classicism and style. Large black and red cherry combines deftly with layers of tobacco, earth and spiced cocoa. Chewy tannins with berried acidity remind you that this wine is indeed traditional at the core. This vintage brought ripe weight to appeal to a modern palate. Ideal for the cellar, however with a proper decant this can be served tonight with rare marinated beef, well-sauced roasted duck or lamb stew. The grapes used for Muga's Prado Enea are always the last to be harvested. Under the ideal conditions of this year, this means full ripe dark berried Tempranillo, gushing with black and red cherry fruit. The wine ferments naturally in huge oak vats and macerates on the grape skins up to 20 days, in order to extract as much color and tannin possible. The wine ages 36 months in cask and is fined traditionally with egg white.
