| Description: | Sylvain Gauthier trained in Beaune before working for Chapoutier and establishing his domaine in 2007. 90% destemmed, the wine shows the fruitier side of the grape while maintaining its earthy essence. Located within the original boundary of Saint-Joseph, the soils are mostly decomposed granite, translating to a clean, yet richly textured Syrah. Dense and inky with plum, blackberry, licorice and garrigue. Ripe and round with plush fruit that is framed by lasting acid on the back end. |
