|Description:||Producer Cvne, is situated in Rioja in the traditional neighborhood of the station, where the oldest wineries of Rioja Alta established themselves, for the main reason of transporting their goods to the port of Bilbao. In 1879, two brothers decided to set up a business in the recently flourishing trade of the wine business. C.v.n.e., Compania Vinicola del Norte de Espana (The Northern Spanish Wine Company) or la Cune, as it is commonly known in Haro, was created. This cellar still reflects the origins of the company and is kept in the traditional neighborhood of the Haro station. Antonio Galloni 91 points - Opaque ruby. Oak-spiced red fruit preserves, candied rose, vanilla and a hint of cola on the highly perfumed nose. Seamless and broad on the palate, offering sweet raspberry, cherry-vanilla and mocha flavors that firm up slowly on the back half. Shows very good clarity and red fruit thrust on a very long, smooth finish that features mounting tannins and a touch of smokiness. A very fresh and clean wine with plums, dark berries and hints of cedar. Medium to full body, integrated tannins and a bright finish. Excellent now, but better in 2020. Limpid ruby-red. Expressive red berry and floral aromas are accompanied by suggestions of woodsmoke, vanilla and candied rose. Supple and open-knit, offering sweet cherry and raspberry flavors.Clings with very good tenacity on the finish, which features sneaky tannins and lingering suggestions of cedary oak and cherry pastry.|
